Every K9 participating in our projects undergoes rigorous medical and working characteristic testing to ensure their suitability for the tasks at hand.
K9 Quality Standards
Medical tests include
- Veterinary Passport: Ensuring all mandatory vaccines, deworming, and defleaing are completed, and the dog is microchipped.
- Comprehensive Blood Tests: Assessing the overall health of the dog.
- Hereditary Medical Examination: X-rays are conducted to check for dysplasia in the hips, elbows, shoulders, and back.

Working Characteristics
- Socialization and Calmness: Dogs must be well-socialized and remain calm in various environments.
- Possessiveness Test: Evaluating the level of possessiveness the dog has towards a ball or tug.
- Fighting Drive: Assessing the dogs’ desire to engage in play and achieve goals during work.
- Prey Drive: Evaluating the dogs’ motivation to chase after objects such as a ball.
- Detection and Search Abilities: Testing the dogs’ proficiency in detection tasks and their persistence.
- Defense Drive: Evaluating the dogs’ ability to provide security or operate in special operations.
- Temperament and Nervous System: Assessing the dogs’ temperament, quality, and stamina of the nervous system, and how they handle various situations.
K9 Quality Standards
Canine Welfare and Nutrition
Providing a balanced diet is crucial for supporting the overall health and well-being of our working dogs. Special dietary needs are taken into consideration, and dogs may receive one or two meals per day. Additionally, access to fresh water at all times is essential to prevent dehydration and ensure the dog’s hydration needs are met.
